Hogan' MGA Restoration Update

It may not look like much now, but the Hogan's are hoping to be cruising by this summer in our restored 1959 MGA Roadster.
After I totally screwed up the bodywork, the trusted technicians at "Vintage" in Westbrook (take a bow Kevin, Mike & Rich) are about to push this puppy into the paint booth for a nice healthy dose of a single-stage paint. What color? Well now that you ask, it's ORIENT RED,
the original exterior colour from the Morris Garage. Once we get her home, it's build time. When you don't see me on TV - you'll find me in my grease monkey suite under the hood in the garage. What else do you think those of us bitten by the bug do during the off-cruising season?

prim rose would be a better color
great car...and great project. All it needs is a lotus elan to play with
Kevin,
Good luck with your restoration! My Dad's first car was a 59' MGA. Started life some shade of brown then he 'painted' it red. Not orient red or even prim rose.. just red. This was 1965, once my sister arrived, it was good bye MG and hello to a more 'practical' car, a car with a back seat, a 1967Porsche 912. A daily driver for some 20yrs, it was parked in 1985 with it 2nd blown engine where it sat until I was fifteen, 1988. Got it running in 1991. I fully restored it in 1995 and after 12yrs of auto-x and track events she's better than ever. laps Lime Rock around 1m 7sec not too bad eh? I've owned many cars mostly German, mostly Porsche/Audi/BMW, but I have always cherished the 912and in fact just picked up a 1969 912 to start the process all over during this off cruising season. A glutton for punishment...? nah, just running out of things to do on mine.
Have fun!! Old cars rule!!
